Vic Peters is a professional musician, entertainer, and piano teacher in the Seattle area. He plays piano, keyboards, trumpet, and sings. Vic is familiar with a variety of musical styles; his repertoire spans classical, jazz, rock, pop and more. He performs regularly at area clubs, entertains for private parties, and provides music for weddings and other religious services.
Vic also teaches piano four days a week to students in kindergarten through high school. He teaches his students to play both full sheet music and "lead sheets"--a form of shorthand notation used for many jazz songs--in addition to music theory. Vic also supplies many of his own teaching materials to students, including a series of exercises for learning common and uncommon rhythms which he assembled himself.
